I have not needed to use my oxygen all day today. I did not need to use it even while doing my yoga. My resting heart rate is 78 which is super for me.

I can often take my oxygen off for a while during the day, but then have to put it back on because my heart rate will not fall below 100. This has been a cool humid day which may be a factor in my good breathing. I have also learned to slow down while walking. As I am writing this post my heart rate is 81 and my oxygen saturation is 97. We will see what tomorrow brings and hope for the best.

Another thing that may contribute to this good breathing day is the fact that my arthritis is also behaving so that I am able to make a fist and then straighten out my fingers without pain. I have been having quite a lot of trouble with old Arthur here lately. I have a trigger finger and sometimes two. What I refer to as a trigger finger is a finger that sticks in a bent position and you need to use the other hand to straighten it out.

Inflammation plays a part in breathing difficulty as well as the stiff joints. Science is working on solving the problem of inflammation without adversely affecting other parts of the system. I will be happy when they succeed.

It is very common for people with COPD to also suffer from Arthritis. Yes, you know it, I have a link for that American Arthritis Foundationhttps://www.arthritis.org/
