I hope that you know about my spoon experiment. My hypothesis that I need to rest on Friday in order to maintain a supply of energy(spoons) has seemingly been validated this week. The hypothesis seems to be holding this week, but some of the parameters of the experiment have also changed.
I had a scheduled appointment with my doctor this week. We continued the conversation that we had on my last visit about joint pain and my inability to get a good night’s sleep. He prescribed some medication that I have been taking.
In a real scientific experiment, I would need to redesign my hypothesis and my experiment. I will count my blessings that I am not in as much pain and that my sleep has improved.
I also like the idea of resting and reflecting on Friday, so I will continue to do that.
My little scenario brings to light another issue that people with COPD usually face. I have multiple comorbidities. They all play off each other and create a complicated health profile that requires a special physician to be able to navigate the profile. I am fortunate that I have 3 physicians who work together to provide me the care that I need.
I will continue my research on legitimate providers for POCs other than Inogen. I hope to have that complete sometime this coming week. #healthcare#wellness#research#COPDfoundation#COPD360#oxygen360
